Hawkeye episode 2 recap: the MCU meets John Hughes

Spoiler for the first two episodes Hawkeye followed. You have been warned.

One reason for success and longevity from Marvel Cinematic Universe is its ability to share between genres. Over the past decade and a little, franchises have tried in space, political thrillers, comedy and more.

But Hawkeye episode 2 took MCU somewhere unprecedented – for a portion of a decent time to run John Hughes vacation film. Quinjets, trains and cars, anyone?

When Clint Barton tried to tie loose tip in New York and made him go home in time to see his children for Christmas, the first action put a focus on his strange partner relationship with Kate Bishop. Double action has become the core component of Disney plus the previous Marivel event – from Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes in Falcon and winter soldier, to Loki and Sylvie in Loki – and Hawkeye take the formula that has potential. The show even throws a cute dog, aka lucky pizza dogs, into a mixture for a good size.

He was so stuck in the excitement when he asked his favorite prosecutor to sign his bow, while he asked if there was a way Ronin Suit could lead bad people to the bishop’s residence.
