Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra’s camera could disappoint – but S23 Ultra’s probably won’t
1 min readWe have heard several times that the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra will have more or less the same camera specifications as the Galaxy S21 Ultra, and now we hear it again – but with additional details this time.
According to @universeice (leaker with a solid track record), the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra will have an enhanced version of the 108MP main sensor that we saw on the Galaxy S21 Ultra, and the 12MP ultra-wide sensor was exactly the same.
Where things can change a little (outside the unnamed improvement in the main sensor) is with a zoom lens, because this seems both using new sensors – but they don’t sound too different from the old ones.
Apparently the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra will have a SONY 10MP 1 / 3.52 sensor with Aperture F / 4.9, offering 10x optical zoom, along with other sensors that sound similar, except with Aperture F / 2.4 and offer 3x optical zoom.
The count and megapixel hole here are the same as on the Galaxy S21 Ultra, but the size of pixels and sensors is slightly different, with the Galaxy S21 ultra zoom lens has a 1/3,24 “sensor and 1.22μm pixel.
So maybe this change will cause some improvements, but it doesn’t sound like there will be a drastic difference if this leak is correct. However, we can see a greater increase in the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, as the same source claim that Samsung will equip the phone with a 200MP sensor in 2023.
