Close the airpods charging case still must be open at this time. With it open, press and hold the Setup Case button for 15 or more seconds – you will know it’s time to release the button when you start flashing yellow, then switch to white.

After the light turns white, move the charging case close to the iPhone, iPad Touch, or iPad and wait for the instructions to appear that will guide you through the re-connection process.

What about Max airpods?

If you have airpods max, which is an Apple over-ear headphone model, the reset process is slightly different because mostly to hardware. Likewise, there is a reboot process that can fix the problem and can be tried first: Press and hold the Crown key and control the noise until the LED light on the headphone starts flashing yellow.
